Assessment of Young Drivers’ Driving Behaviour and Driving Speed along Horizontal and Vertical Alignments

Young drivers are more likely to experience car crashes as they tend have risky driving behaviours. This study aims assess young drivers’ behaviour and speed along the horizontal vertical alignments of roads. The 20 who participated in this were asked complete a self-reported assessment (Driver Behaviour Questionnaire) then invited for an on-road during daytime night-time, road at selected route Skudai, Johor. results from Driver Questionnaire revealed that distractions was most frequently reported caused amongst drivers, followed by error violation. Speed profile found be higher when compared night-time. A significant difference between male female noted curves concluded such aberrant behaviours would impact on performance, particularly curves.
